Mohamed Abusitta, host of the University of Tripoli radio station, delivered a welcoming address on behalf of the university’s press office: “Today, the development of journalists is directly linked to artificial intelligence. It is necessary to learn how to produce information using AI tools in order to remain competitive in the industry.”

During the master class, participants were introduced to ways of applying artificial intelligence tools in editorial processes, including news production, data analysis, work with multimedia content, and information verification. Special attention was paid to issues of ethics, credibility, and media responsibility in the context of digital transformation.

Managing editor of Sputnik Arabic Yazan Ajouz noted: “The agency’s goal in studying AI is to improve the quality of work, speed up access to information, and expand tools for analysis and verification.” Suliman Wasim added that “a modern journalist must be able to work with AI in order to remain competitive in a highly competitive environment.”

Students of the University of Tripoli actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about the future of the journalism profession, competition with social networks, and the role of international news agencies in shaping the global agenda.
